因相

Causation; one of the three forms or characteristics of the (sa) ālayavijñāna, the character of the origin of all things.

阿賴耶識有三種面相， 曰因相、 果相、 自相。 因相， 謂第八阿賴耶識能攝持一切種子， 此種子為萬法生起之原因， 故稱因相。 因相之義有二： 一、 依持因， 謂能執持諸法種子令不失之義。 二、 生起因， 謂種子正為現起諸法之親因緣法之義。 見《成唯識論》卷二。
